I don't actually have a recipe. I have been making this dish for 40 years now and everyone seems to like it. To simple for words.
I pour my can sweet potato's into a casserole - now the next part depends on how large a can you use.
Using the largest can - I add about 1/2 stick of butter chopped up
About 1/4 to 1/3 cup of brown sugar sprinkled over the potatoes
I take about 1 tablespoon of corn starch and mix it with enough water to dissolve and I stir this into the mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes. When done I take it out of the oven and sprinkle marsh mellows over it and heat until marsh mellows are brown
