Do you have a recipe for Sweet Potato Biscuits?

And are they as delicious as many say?Do you have a recipe for Sweet Potato Biscuits?
Yep, and this is Paula Deen's recipe:





Ingredients


1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour


2 heaping tablespoons sugar


4 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon salt


3/4 cup mashed cooked sweet potatoes


1/4 cup (1/2 stick) softened butter


2 to 4 tablespoons milk (depending on the moisture of the potatoes)


Directions


Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.





Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate, large bowl, mix the sweet potatoes and butter. Add the flour mixture to the potato mixture and mix to make a soft dough. Then add milk a tablespoon at a time to mixture and continue to cut in. Turn the dough out onto a floured board and toss lightly until the outside of the dough looks smooth. Roll the dough out to 1/2-inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter. Place the biscuits on a greased pan and coat tops with melted butter. Bake for about 15 minutes. (Watch your oven: If the biscuits are browning too fast, lower the temperature.)Do you have a recipe for Sweet Potato Biscuits?
Sweet Potato Biscuits -- Yes they are good and if you want a little sweetness; add some sugar, nutmeg and maybe some cinnamon.











INGREDIENTS


2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


1 tablespoon baking powder


1 teaspoon salt


1/3 cup shortening


1 (15 ounce) can sweet potatoes, drained


3/4 cup milk











DIRECTIONS


In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In another bowl, mash the sweet potatoes and milk. Add to the crumb mixture just until combined.


Turn onto a floured surface; knead 8-10 times. Roll to 1/2-in. thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-in. biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 425 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks. Serve warm.
This is a recipe I found then mesed with myslef and made it better. It is so good and yes the sweet potato biscuits are so yummy. They stay so moist with the sweet potato in there, and they are almost springy when you press them.





Sweet Potato Biscuits:





2 cups flour


1 1/2 tsp baking powder


1 tsp salt


1 陆 tbsp cinnamon


录 tsp cloves


4 tbsp cold no salt butter


2-3 tbsp no salt butter


3 tbsp shortening


2 cups warm mashed sweet potatoes-not hot


陆 cup milk.





Preheat oven to 450 degrees.


Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir and mix well. Cut in the cold butter and shortening until crumbly.





Add potatoes, and milk. Knead 8-10 times roll to 陆 inch thick. Cut out with biscuit cutters or a cup. Place in baking sheet and brush with melted butter. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.





Serve with honey butter, sooo yummy!!!
