I have a sweet potato pie recipe that is just plain excellent, however it does not get thick enough when baked

I was wondering if I should use Tapioca or flour to make it somewhat thicker, so that it holds together when sliced.I have a sweet potato pie recipe that is just plain excellent, however it does not get thick enough when baked
are you tempering the pie base? if so, bring it up to more of a boil, so your thickening agent will work, some agents require to be brought up to a boil in oorder to work, if not tempering you might add a little gelatin to the mix, this may help in capturing air, while absorbing moisture, making a light and airy pieI have a sweet potato pie recipe that is just plain excellent, however it does not get thick enough when baked
Try reducing the amount of liquid, or leave out one egg.
I would not use Tapioca or flour, personally. However, I would try using a little less liquid and add cream cheese in the liquids place.
