I love this on Turkey day. I've eaten it baked in the oven and need to know how to make it.
I use the sweet potatoes out of the can by the way.I need a simple Sweet potato recipe with marshmallows baked on top.?
i use the canned as well... drain %26amp; pour the can in to a baking dish top with a sprinkle of brown sugar and a couple little pats of butter..bake covered for 20 minutes at 375* remove cover and pour the mini marshmallows on top.. return to oven until the marshmallows have a nice Brown toasted color to them.I need a simple Sweet potato recipe with marshmallows baked on top.?
casserole
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup cream (or milk)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
topping
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Directions
1Mix all of the casserole ingredients together until well blended.
2Spread into a buttered casserole dish.
3Mix topping ingredients (except marshmallows) together and sprinkle over the casserole.
4Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
5Remove from oven.
6If topping with marshmallows, place them on the casserole and bake for an addition 5-7 minutes or until marshmallows have melted.
7Serve.

Mashed Sweet Potatoes With Marshmallows
2 1/4 lb Sweet potatoes (drained canned or
Precooked)
1/2 c Milk
3 T Brown sugar
3 T Melted butter
1/2 t Salt
ds Pepper
ds Cinnamon
1/4 c Raisins
Marshmallows
Instructions
1. Mash sweet potatoes by putting through a sieve or beating in an electric beater or using a potato masher or food mill.
2. Add milk gradually (if you add it too fast it splashes and is hard to mix in).
3. Mix in remaining ingredients.
4. Put in buttered casserole.
5. Heat through (bake in slow oven (250 deg. F) for 20-30 minutes, or in microwave).
6. Cover top with marshmallows.
7. Return to oven until marshmallows are slightly melted and a bit brown (if the oven is too hot, the marshmallows will disappear!) This step can- not be done in the microwave.

* 1 cup whipping cream

DIRECTIONS

Caned sweet potatoes????
Not sure if those have any season or sugar ,but what I usually do with my sweet potatoes is that I mash them up and add about 1/2 stick of butter, 1/2 cup of brown sugar (or more/less) then I add 1 egg and about 1 cup of cream. Mix it all together and then put it in the dish bake about 30 min and add the marshmallows and bake until the mallows start to brown on top.
start with 3 cans sweet potato's drained mash them and add in 3 tbsp butter and 1/3 cup heavy cream (can use milk if watching weight or want to make it healthy) then add in 1Tbsp brown sugar and 1/4tsp cinnamon and stir. place mixture in a baking dish and place marshmallows on top to cover (I recomend using the small ones they melt faster) place in 350 degree oven till golden brown and serve
If they are out of the can they are already sweetened and seasoned, all you need to do is put them in a casserole dish and heat them enough to brown the marshmallows and warm the potatoes probably 300 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
1 cup Brown sugar heated with 1/2 stick butter make into a syrup pour over drained sweet potatoes in baking dish take at 375 degrees 30 min. top with marshmallows and brown.
